DeSales welcomes the Reverend John Crossin, OSFS, Executive Director of the Washington Theological Consortium and author of Everyday Virtues, to campus today. Fr. Crossin will offer two lectures as part of the Campbell Lecture on Christian Unity series in the University Center. Please join us at 2:30 p.m. for “Everyday Virtues and the Work of the Holy Spirit;” and at 7:15 p.m. for “The Refining and Healing Power of the Spirit in Church and Culture.”
Students attend free. The Lehigh County Conference of Churches asks a donation of $5 for each lecture from all others. Proceeds support the continuing work of the Conference to promote ecumenism through the lecture series.
Other activities: Best student essays submitted by contestant-writers throughout the Lehigh Valley Association of Independent Colleges will be offered at 4 p.m. An ecumenical prayer service will be held at the Wills Hall Chapel at 6:30 p.m. and will feature the University Chorale.
The Campbell Lecture on Christian Unity is conducted each year by the Lehigh County Conference of Churches (www.lehighchurches.org) and is hosted by DeSales University in memory of Robert K. Campbell, former Chief Executive Officer of Pennsylvania Power and Light and community leader.
