The Sport Management Certificate in Coaching at DeSales University provides an online curriculum that combines theory and practice within the wide world of sport and business. The philosophy of this certificate program is a collaborative effort between the American Sport Education Program (ASEP) and the DeSales University Sport Management Program. The foundation of the certificate is based on enhancing the DeSales University mission to help develop all aspects of the person: physical, intellectual, moral, social, aesthetic, and religious.
The Certificate in Coaching provides the coach with career and professional training in sport management within the context of a liberal arts education. The sport management program at DeSales is approved by the Sport Management Program Review Council (SMPRC) at the undergraduate level in the United States. The Sport Management program is also endorsed by The National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) and The North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM).
The certificate in coaching will focus on the conceptual, managerial, and practical skills needed to prepare individuals to become visionary leaders in the coaching profession. All courses are taught online.

Additional requirements
All coaches must provide proof of current American Red Cross CPR and Community First Aid certifications (or equivalent) upon completion of their course work. |
