IT 532 Systems Analysis
The first in a two course sequence which covers the analysis and design of information systems. The focus is on object oriented development, but much the material is applicable to structured systems. The course addresses fundamental topics, requirement specification, and requirement analysis. Concepts include objects, classes, inheritance, associations, systems, events, and models. Requirement specification includes use cases, usage scenarios, interaction diagrams, and event identification. Requirement analysis covers event stimuli, business rules, event responses, system context models, and object state transition diagrams.
Credits: 3 Prerequisite: IT 507 and IT 511 or instructor's permission.
