The DeSales University Rotaract Club will host its second annual Dance-a-Thon from Friday, November 12 at 7 p.m.to Saturday, November 13 at 7 a.m. in the McShea Activities Center, located in the McShea Student Union. The event will benefit Soldiers’ Angels.
Various activities will be held during the event in an effort to involve as many people as possible.
The money raised from the event will be donated to Soldiers’ Angels, an organization that provides services to men and women in the military, including the army, navy, marines and cost guard, and their families. Some of the help Soldiers’ Angels offers is the provision of care packages; First Response packs for the wounded; and various forms of aid to veterans and families in need. The organization was established by the mother of two men who served in the military.
“The DeSales Rotaract Club is an international service club which [is] sponsored by a local Rotary club. In general the Rotaract club provides students with opportunities to learn leadership skills, become responsible citizens, and to promote international peace and understanding," said Heather Hope, Rotaract Club president
