The workers’ compensation law provides wage loss and medical benefits to employees who cannot work, or who need medical care because of a work-related injury.

If you are injured while working for DeSales University, you must notify your supervisor immediately of your injury and chose a healthcare provider from the Workers’ Compensation Panel for DeSales University. In the event of an emergency, please go to the nearest hospital for treatment, but contact your employer immediately. 

You should let the provider know your injury is covered under workers’ compensation and you should not provide your personal medical insurance card. 

You must complete an injury report, have it signed by your supervisor, and submit it to human resources within the first 90 days of the injury.
