May I withdraw from a course after the Drop-Add Period has ended?

You may withdraw from a course with permission as late as two weeks after mid-term grades are due in the Registrar's Office. The Last Day to Withdraw is noted on the Academic Calendar. (N.B. Consult the ACCESS calendar, if you are taking an ACCESS course.) For more information about dropping a course prior to the Drop-Add deadline, please click here.

What is the procedure for withdrawing from a course after the Drop-Add Period?

Withdrawal from a course with permission may occur up to the day that is two weeks from the day that mid-term grades are due in the Office of the Registrar. It requires an Approval Form signed by your advisor and either the Associate Academic Dean or the Director of Advising. Your instructor may give you a W, WP, or WF, at his or her discretion, which will appear on your transcript.

What will happen if I withdraw from a course after the last day to withdraw with permission?

You will receive a failure for that course.
