Dr. Denise Leifker received her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska at Omaha as well as her M.A. in Criminal Justice. Her B.S. in Criminal Justice is from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Her research interests include sentencing practices and the effect of outside variables such as the pre-sentence investigation report, as well as sex offending behaviors. She worked as a Special Agent for the Division of Criminal Investigation in South Dakota for a year and a half, with the primary duty of drug investigations and as a probation officer in California for three years with the primary duty of preparing pre-sentence investigation reports. Since moving to the East Coast in 2008, she has taught at various area universities as an adjunct and visiting professor. |
