The Ghost Whisperer: In Pursuit of a Paranormal Encounter, Topic of Brown Bag Lunch Program, Wed., Oct. 27
Dr. Katherine Ramsland, assistant professor of forensic psychology at DeSales, will speak on "The Ghost Whisperer: In Pursuit of a Paranormal Encounter," at noon on Wed., October 27, in Trexler Library. The program, part of the Brown Bag Lunch Series, is open to the public free of charge. In her talk, Dr. Ramsland will describe the state-of-the-art tools of the ghost hunter trade.
A member of the DeSales faculty since 2001, Dr. Ramsland is an expert in forensic psychology and serial killers, and has published 23 books. Among them is "Ghost: Investigating the Other Side," a study of the psychology of people involved in documenting ghostly activity. In addition, she writes forensic articles for Court TV's Crime Library and contributes frequent editorials on forensic issues to The Philadelphia Inquirer. Dr. Ramsland has been consulted by national media on forensic issues and has appeared on the Today Show, National Public Radio, and on cable programs, including Discovery, the Learning Channel, the Women's Entertainment Network and AMC.
Trexler Library established the Brown Bag Lunch Series in September 1999. The purpose of the series is to provide faculty, staff, and students an opportunity to share their research projects, personal interests, and hobbies with the whole DeSales University community.
