Dr. Karen Walton, provost and vice president of academic affairs at DeSales, was a guest on "Disability Update," on WPAZ 1370 AM, from 12:45 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Sunday, January 16, 2005. The program is hosted by Robert Smith. Dr. Walton highlighted various mathematics and ACCESS programs at DeSales, including the summer workshops that target teachers. Also, she also discussed Scholastic Scrimmage, which she hosts. The popular high school academic competition has showcased the "best and brightest" in the Lehigh Valley for over 30 years. Scholastic Scrimmage airs on PBS 39 at 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays, and at 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Sundays. Also, at 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 2:00 p.m. on Thursdays, on the Digital Learning Center Channel, including SECTV Ch. 211, RCN Ch. 86, and Blue Ridge Ch. 117.
