Story targeting high school seniors offers details on DeSales University's National Catholic Essay Contest. The contest recognizes excellence in writing that shares the distinctiveness of Catholic thought. The essay should explore the relationship between the Eucharist and culture, and demonstrate depth and intensity. It should be 1,500 to 2,000 words. Awards include: first prize, a $2,500 scholarship to DeSales; second prize, a $1,500 scholarship; and third prize, a $1,000 scholarship. The deadline is Monday, January 31, 2005.
