Article by Angela Bristow on how the slumping economy has prompted people to return to school for their graduate degree features comments by Scott Mattingly, director of career services at DeSales. Bristow states that individuals returning to the job market after a hiatus believe that a master's degree spells marketability. According to Mattingly, in 2003, about 25 percent reported they were in graduate school. I think we had about a 48 percent response rate. This year we sent out the survey and we've only had 31 respond so far . . . six people said they were in graduate school.
