Some thoughts on Social Security

Editorial on Social Security cites quote by Christopher Cocozza, assistant business professor at DeSales, and an attorney and CPA, in an article in the same edition of the Business Journal, in which he stated, "Give people incentives not to retire." According to the editorial, Cocozza hits the nail on the head when he comments, "if fewer people retire, the system would have less to pay out, and could create more cash flow for the program." The editorial contends that the government ought to raise - significantly - the age at which a person can begin receiving Social Security benefits. If people are able, they ought to work longer.
