A 3D Account is a declining pre-paid service account accessed with your UniversityCard. This account provides students and employees with the convenience to make purchases without using cash. All DeSales University students and employees are eligible to open a 3D Account.
Where can I use my 3D Account?
A 3D Account may be used as a form of tender to make on campus purchases.
Why Are 3D Accounts Convenient?
- 3D Accounts are fast. They run on the local network and take just the swipe of a card to get you through the line faster than using cash. At the University Center's Food Court you can see your remaining balance anytime or visit the UniversityCard Office.
- 3D Accounts are safe. If you accidentally lose your UniversityCard, your 3D Account Dollars are secure when you report the loss to the UniversityCard Office. Also 3D Accounts run on a real-time system, so your account can not be overdrawn.
How do I open a 3D Account?
Just Download the UniversityCard Deposit Form, fill it out and enclose your check or credit card information and send it to the UniversityCard Office. As soon as we receive the payment we will add the funds to your UniversityCard and notify you via email that your account has been activated.
Also you may visit the Treasure's Office (Dooling Hall 245) or the UniversityCard Office (University Center) during posted office hours to setup your account and make additional deposits throughout the semester. 3D Accounts must be prepaid with cash, check or credit card with a minimum deposit of $25.00 dollars. 3D Accounts can not be calculated into a student's financial aid package.
Please Note: A 3D Account becomes active on your University Card 24 hours after an initial or subsequent deposit can be made.
 How can I make deposits to my 3D account?
You can add dollars to your 3D Account instantaneously via the Load Station located in the Trexler Library.
Also, you may visit the Treasurer's Office or UniversityCard Office during posted office hours to make deposits.
Please Note: Most 3D deposits are active instantly, but never take longer than 1 business day.
Are 3D Account Dollars Refundable?
3D Account dollars carry from semester to semester. They are refundable when a student or employee officially separates themselves from the University with a written request to the UniversityCard Office within 30 days of separation. DeSales University will not refund 3D Accounts that have less than $5.00 minimum balance.
