What is the UniversityCard?
The UniversityCard is the official ID for DeSales University. The UniversityCard is issued upon your association with the University and is your permanent ID throughout your affiliation with DeSales University.
Who needs a UniversityCard?
All students, faculty and staff of DeSales University. The card is mandatory for fulltime students, faculty and staff. It is recommended for ACCESS, Graduate, and part-time students.
Is there a fee for the UniversityCard?
Your first UniversityCard will be issued at no cost. However, the card replacement fee is $25.00 for every card thereafter. The University is not responsible for any loss or expense resulting from the loss, theft, or misuse of your card. Lending or punching a hole in your card is not permitted.
What if my UniversityCard is lost, stolen or misplaced? Lost, stolen or misplaced cards must be reported to the UniversityCard office at 610-282-1100 Ext. CARD(2273). If the loss occurs after business hours or on the weekends, report the missing UniversityCard to the University Police at ext. 1250. The UniversityCard Supervisor will contact you the following business day.
Can someone else use my card?
For your security, you are the only person authorized to use your UniversityCard. Cards presented by anyone other than the student pictured on the card will be confiscated and returned to the UniversityCard office. If you wish to buy something for someone else, you must be present at the time of purchase.
Is there a special way to care for my UniversityCard?
Yes. Your card has value, so it is important to take care of it. To prevent damage, always keep it in a wallet or protective card case. Do not mark, bend, punch holes in, scratch the magnetic stripe or tamper with the barcode.
Can I still punch a hole in my card and carry it on my key chain?
No, when a hole is punched through the laminated seal on the UniversityCard, your card becomes more susceptible to damage. Further, your card may be rendered unusable in the NCR cash registers located throughout campus. |
