Article (with photo) by Stacy Wescoe features Father Bernard O'Connor, DeSales president, on the recent 20-day trip to India, during which the DeSales team established partnerships with religious and educational institutions, as part of the university's continued globalization efforts. Areas of interest also included American healthcare, sports management and the entertainment industry. "It's a very spiritual nation," said Father O'Connor. "They have a very strong sense of the presence of God. They're very reverent and there's an absolutely delightful character of the people." He believes that students at DeSales and students in India could learn a lot from each other by dialoguing on their cultures, traditions and spirituality.
