History:
Dedicated on August 17th, 2005, Welsh Hall is named for Bishop Thomas J. Welsh, the first Bishop of Arlington, Virginia and the second Bishop of Allentown, Pennsylvania. During his 14 years of ministry to the people of this diocese, Bishop Welsh was an ardent supporter of education, a genuine, caring and approachable pastor and an involved patron of Allentown College / DeSales University. Bishop Welsh passed away on February 19, 2009 at the age of 87.
