DeSales University Presents Brown Bag Lunch Series
Center Valley, Pa., - (September 11, 2002) DeSales University begins its fall Brown Bag Lunch Series with Mr. Mark Seifter, on Thursday, October 3, from 12 noon to 1 p.m., in the Trexler Library on the Center Valley campus.
Seifter will speak on the "Archeological and Biblical History of Jerusalem." Seifter is enrolled in the Central and Eastern European Studies graduate program at LaSalle University. He holds a bachelor's degree in history from Ohio University and a master's degree in history from the University of New Mexico and has completed course work toward a master's degree in historical archaeology, at the University of Massachusetts.
He has taught courses at colleges in Ohio and Pennsylvania on Middle Eastern civilization, history and issues. He is a professional archaeologist who has excavated sites throughout the American Midwest, Massachusetts and in Pennsylvania including involvement on the excavation of the National Constitution Center site in downtown Philadelphia and two overseas archaeological sites, a Roman-Anglo-Saxon age site in Essex, England, and the Biblical-age site at Tel Sheva, Beersheva, Israel.
