DeSales University To Host Annual Race For Reading
Center Valley, Pa., -(April 16, 2002) - The DeSales University Sports Management Society will host the second annual Race for Reading to benefit the Southern Lehigh Public Library on Sunday, April 28 at 9:15 a.m. in the Billera Hall Sports Complex on the Center Valley campus.
The event is open to the public and all participants will make pledges for the race they choose to enter. Races include a 5K race at $15, a "kiddy" race at $7, or a 1-mile walk at $10. DeSales students and high school students who participate pledge $5.
The races will take place around campus and a cash prize will be awarded to the top male and top female participant who finishes first in the five-kilometer race.
