Members of the university community, local community, and alumni are encouraged to send archival materials to the library. Copies, or in some cases originals, that have been prepared or received by a member of the university community and pertain to university business should be held in the archives. If items are in question, send them to the library, and the archivist will determine the long-term historical value.
At the present time, the archives collection contains numerous gaps and is not complete because the proper documents have not been forwarded to the collection. While the university is still young, the documents of historical value can still be saved. Current and former faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends of the university community should send any items related to Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales or DeSales University to the archives in Trexler library for inclusion into the collection.
