Rev. Charles Fromentin (1861-1940) was one of the French pioneers who brought the Oblates to America. He was the first provincial of the English-speaking province of the Oblates in America, in Wilmington, Delaware, and the first religious superior and principal of the Salesianum School, an Oblate high school that first opened in 1903.
