The Latino Leadership Alliance of the Lehigh Valley (LLA) awarded more than 40 new scholarships to students earlier in June. This marks an increase of 12 more scholarships awarded over the previous year. The scholarships help students entering college or adults returning to school with tuition expenses. DeSales is among the local institutions offering contributions, either by matching scholarships and in some instances awarding full scholarships to academically qualified students recommended by the LLA.
