Story by Matt Sandy (with photo) on Joan Johnson, admissions secretary and member of the enrollment management team at DeSales, who was named 2005 Support Staff Employee of the Year at the University. "I feel honored that Father O'Connor and his cabinet even considered me for this award," said Johnson, who started working at DeSales in 1990, after raising three children. Recipients of the award are distinguished for the commitment to the University's mission, witness to the values for which the University stands, and service marked by such characteristics as effort, skill, positive attitude and creativity in the work place. "It is easy to do a good job when you not only enjoy what you do, but you get the privilege to
work with special people who respect each other," said Johnson.
