"Well done good and faithful servant," a two-page spread (with photos) honoring priests in the Allentown Diocese who are observing milestone anniversaries, includes Father Alexander T. Pocetto, OSFS, who celebrated his 50th anniversary on Saturday, June 4. Father Pocetto, a native of Wilmington, Del., graduated from the Salesianum School for Boys. He earned both bachelor's and master's of arts degrees from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and a doctor of philosophy degree from Universite Laval in Quebec, Canada. Father entered the Oblates in 1945 and was ordained a priest in 1955. Father Pocetto is a founding father of Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales (now DeSales University). Father has a long and distinguished career in higher education, both as a faculty member and administrator, and has published numerous books and articles. He received the DeSales Medal in 1993. Active with various organizations, Father serves as president of the International Commission on Salesian Studies and is senior scholar with the Salesian Center for Faith and Culture at DeSales.
