Men's Health Editor To Speak at DeSales
Center Valley, Pa. - (February 18, 2002) - Bill Stump, executive editor of Men's Health International, the world's largest men's magazine brand with 22 editions in 30 countries, will speak about international branding of Men's Health Magazine at DeSales University, at 3 p.m., Monday, February 25 in the Dooling Hall Auditorium on the DeSales University Center Valley Campus.
The program is sponsored by the DeSales University American Marketing Association Chapter and is free and open to the public.
Stump directs the editorial mission of Men's Health ensuring that all magazines and magazine products adhere to the core values of Men's Health and its publisher Rodale Press and that the editions share best practices. Stump oversees a staff of nine that maintain image and text banks, and he also oversees the production of local editions. Stump helps negotiate joint venture and license deals with foreign publishing companies to launch new magazines and he hires and manages all international editors in chief.
He earned his bachelor's degree in print journalism with a minor in history from Ohio Wesleyan University.
Stump began his career as a sports writer and editor in Richmond, Va., and later covered the Pentagon, Department of Defense, Congress and the military services for daily newspapers and newsweeklies in and around Washington, D.C. Before joining Men's Health as a senior writer in 1998, he was an editor at Reader's Digest magazine in Pleasantville, N.Y.
