Patrick McGrain received his B.A., in Criminal Justice from State University of New York College at Oswego; M.S. in Criminal Justice from State University of New York College at Buffalo, and his Ph.D. in Crminal Justice from Temple University. His dissertation research was a qualitative examination of the correlates of therapeutic engagement in a drug treatment program. The goal of his research was to determine the personal and programmatic characteristics that influence the motivation of an inmate to engage and participate in a prison-based drug treatment program.
Patrick's present research interests include the assessment of sex offender treatment programs and drug and alcohol treatment evaluation. His teaching interests include Sexual Deviance, Theoretical Perspectives of Violence, and Crime and the Life Course, as well Issues in Law Enforcement and Corrections. |
