Steven Dennis has over twenty years experience as a stage & screen professional and has directed in New York, Los Angeles, and regionally. Last summer he directed the world premiere of Gilgamesh at Allentown Symphony Hall, hailed as “an ambitious and stunning achievement” by The Morning Call. The Newark Star-Ledger awarded Mr. Dennis with Best Director for his professional production of Sight Unseen at Centenary Stage Company. Other productions include The Little Prince with Broadway’s Bill Bowers at River Union Stage, and The Little Mermaid with The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. Also an actor, Steven has performed in New York, Los Angeles, and Tony Award-winning regional theaters, garnering enthusiastic notice from such sources as The New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and The Village Voice. He was named Best Dramatic Actor 2009 by The Daily Record for his one-man performance in Underneath The Lintel. Over thirty Equity stage credits and a dozen film and television roles include PSF’s Cyrano de Bergerac and As You Like It. Mr. Dennis’ television work includes guest-star roles on Enterprise, NBC’s Profiler, ABC’s Miracles, The Young & the Restless, and a recurring role on Star Trek: Voyager. Winner of the LA Weekly award, Steven has taught in prestigious programs such as University of Connecticut, Rutgers University and Kent State, and co-directed LA’s longest-running acting school. He currently serves as associate professor at DeSales University and artistic associate with Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival.
