Howie Day Performing at DeSales University, Monday, October 3
Howie Day will perform his hit single "Collide," from his album Stop All The World Now, and other numbers at 8 p.m., Monday, October 3 in Billera Hall at DeSales University, Center Valley campus. The concert is part of a nationwide campus tour sponsored by Verizon Wireless, Samsung, and 411 Connect. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10 and are also available on-line at Ticketmaster.com and at all Ticketmaster outlets. There is general admission seating and doors open at 7 p.m.
DeSales is one of the many stops for Day during his nationwide campus tour this fall, which includes Boston University and the University of Pennsylvania among others. With the popularity of his hit single "Collide," DeSales already sold about 600 tickets and is looking forward to an exciting show on Monday.
Day recorded Stop All The World Now during the spring 2003 at Olympic Studios in London, England. Out of the 16 songs he recorded, 11 of them are included on the album, which was released in October 2003. Day toured on the road for four years prior to recording this album and opened for artists like Sting, Jack Johnson, Sheryl Crow, and Tori Amos. Day returned to his hometown of Bangor, Maine, after touring with Tori Amos and began writing songs for Stop All The World Now.
