Master of Science in Nursing Options Focus of Information Session at DeSales University, Mon., Nov. 7
Advanced practice nursing options will be the focus of an information session at DeSales University on Monday, November 7. DeSales is the only higher education institution in the area with graduate programs in nursing. During the session, faculty members and current students in the Master of Science in Nursing Program will share their insight and answer questions on the various programs available at the university. Registration and refreshments are at 6:00 p.m., followed by the program at 6:30 p.m. For more information and to reserve space, contact the office of the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Program at DeSales University, at 610-282-1100, ext. 1664.
Those attending the session will have the opportunity to discuss programs such as the Nurse Educator, Family Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist and MSN/MBA Dual Degree. Details of the Fast-Track RN-MSN for associate degree and diploma-prepared nurses will also be discussed. Information regarding scholarships and grants to help finance your education also will be provided.
The new Nurse Educator track offers specialty courses that build upon principles of clinical practice, education and research. This program track prepares nurses to teach nursing in formal nursing education programs, as well as in clinical agencies. Nurse educator positions are available locally and regionally, as there is currently an acute shortage of nursing faculty.
Nursing alumni from DeSales are employed at hospitals, healthcare organizations, physician's offices, school districts and as nursing faculty throughout the country
For more information on the information session, contact the Master of Science in Nursing Program office at DeSales at 610-282-1100, ext. 1664.
