Arts Briefly

Arts briefs, compiled by Lawrence Van Gelder, includes mention of The Walter Kerr Collection, the working library of Pulitzer-Prize winning theatre critic for The New York Times, now housed at DeSales. The collection, donated by the children of Walter and Jean Kerr, includes more than 2,500 titles. Kerr, The books were used by Kerr, who died in 1996,  when writing his reviews and other works. The formal dedication was held on September 12.  Gregory Kerr, son of Walter and Jean Kerr, is an associate professor of philosophy and theology at DeSales. Walter Kerr's grandson and Gregory Kerr's son, Peter Kerr '07, is a theatre major at DeSales.
