Story on Glenn Berdela, Jr., '06, of East Stroudsburg, who was named the 2005-2006 William G. McGowan Scholar at DeSales University. A dean's list student throughout his college career, Berdela is pursuing a bachelor degree in accounting and in management of information technology, with a minor in computer science. An accomplished student, this past summer, he attended the U.S. Marine Corps' Platoon Leaders Class in Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Va. Last summer, he traveled to Peru, as a member of the SIFE team and DeSales contingent. The McGowan Fund awards one tuition scholarship, either undergraduate or graduate to each school selected annually to participate. More than 60 colleges and university have been
invited to take part in the program.
