History:
Dedicated in 2000 and opened for occupancy in the fall of 2001, Aviat Hall is named for recently canonized Sr. Leonine (Lee-oh-knee) Aviat, who with Fr. Brisson and Mother Chappuis, co-founded the Oblate Sisters of St. Francis DeSales. Her ministry was primarily in education and social work to female industrial workers in southern France in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
