The DeSales University Residence Hall Security Division employs 39 officers. These officers report directly to a supervisory corporal who reports to the Director of University Police, Public Safety and Security.
Also known as Desk Security, these officers are responsible for controlling access and monitoring activities within residence halls as well as registration of hall visitors and guests. Security officers also report violations of both the Pennsylvania Crimes Code and University Policies and Regulations to the University Police and the Office of Residence Life who are responsible for investigating the incident.
Security officers receive 16 hours of initial training in administrative procedures and University regulations related to their professional duties. Additionally, they also attend biannual updates. |
