PM 501 Project Management Essentials
This course investigates the increasing use of projects to accomplish important organizational goals and the unique style of administration required to manage them. To illustrate and reinforce concepts, a variety of projects, organizational settings, and issues will be investigated through Harvard cases. Topics to be addressed include the selection, the role of the project manager, organization and planning, budgeting and cost estimation, scheduling, resource allocation among multiple projects, monitoring, controlling, auditing and terminating projects.
Credits: 3 to 6 credits Prerequisite: Advisor's permission
