Story on DeSales Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner on Sept. 30, which included honors for the DeSales 1988-89 women's basketball team, the first team in DeSales history to earn an NCAA tournament bid. Jerry Mayza was honored for his role as coach of the team. A DeSales graduate, Mayza continues to coach youth basketball in the Upper Perk area.
