Article by Mara Rose Williams announces appointment of Rev. Thomas B. Curran, OSFS, as the first non-Jesuit president at Rockhurst University, who will officially start his duties at Rockhurst in June. Father Curran, a member of the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales, earned his bachelor of arts degree in politics from DeSales University. He earned a master's degree in theology from DeSales School of Theology; a master's degree in liberal studies, public policy and government from Georgetown University;a law degree from Catholic University of America; and a master's of business administration from St. Joseph's University. He served as founder and executive director of Nativity Preparatory School in Wilmington, Del.; president of Salesianum School in Wilmington; and president of Northeast Catholic High School for Boys in Philadelphia.
