Article by Tony Nauroth on the famous last lines in movies includes a quote from Chuck Gloman, faculty member in TV / Film at DeSales, who said that last lines are extremely important to audiences because "That's what they're left with when the lights come on, and it prepares them for the sequel." Gloman's favorite last line is from Casablanca and came from Humphrey Bogart as he steps across the airfield and into the fog, "Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."
