Article by Kim Jaick on the importance of the lucrative Indian market and resources available in the country, includes comments by Dr. Mohamed Latib, vice president for program and strategic development at DeSales, who talks about DeSales hosting the video conference, "It's a Flat World After All! Doing Business in India," on May 17. According to Latib, India and China have become hubs of global economic activities and are destinations for investment, as well as talent. The program involves a live telecast from India and features Ashoke K. Dutta, director of the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management in Calcutta. In addition to Dutta, who is a member of the board of trustees at DeSales, the program will feature corporate, government and academic professionals, who will discuss the various issues that need to be addressed when pursuing joint ventures and capital investments in India.
