Article (with photo) on the DeSales University Peer Advising, Counseling and Educating (PACE) team being honored with two awards. They include the Chapter of the Year for Area 11 Bacchus Network and DeSales senior Jonathan Andrews being named Outstanding Peer Educator of the Year for Area 11. Area 11 consists of chapters in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. Established in May 2004, the DeSales PACErs talk with other students to help them deal with issues such as alcohol, sexual assault, relationships, time management and health / social education. They also work with high school and elementary school students to address a variety of topics. This fall, PACE will debut the First Year Experience, which will include orientation and adjustments for first-year students.
