Article by Kathryn M. D'Imperio on artist Ben Marcune, whose paintings, portraits and sculptures are showcased throughout the area, as well as nationally and internationally. Marcune talks about his background and mentions some of his work, including the two large, nine-foot bronze statues he is creating for DeSales that will feature St. Jane De Chantel and St. Francis DeSales, patron saint of the college. Father Bernard O'Connor is quoted as saying, "Ben has been able to capture the beauty that exists within humanity. He is able to view people the way God views them, and his works speak of this powerful gaze."
