Trustees of the Harry C. Trexler Trust awarded $4.8 million in grants to Lehigh County charitable organizations. DeSales University and also the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival at DeSales University were among the local beneficiaries and received $150,000 and $35,000, respectively. Awards were made to nearly 100 groups this year. The largest grant of $1,615,000 was awarded to Allentown for improvement, extension and maintenance of its parks system.
