DeSales SIFE Team is Runner-Up in 2006 National Competition
The DeSales University SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) team placed first runner-up in the opening round of the SIFE USA National Exposition held in Kansas City, Mo., May 21 - 23, finishing 21st overall out of 840 member schools nationwide. The DeSales SIFE team qualified for the 2006 national competition, after winning the regional championship held in Philadelphia in March.
Established in 2003, DeSales SIFE has distinguished itself in a relatively short period of time, winning both regional and national competitions. In its first year, the DeSales SIFE team won the regional championship and earned a Rookie of the Year Trophy in the national championship. In its second year, it won the regional championship and advanced to the semi-final round at the nationals in Kansas City, Mo., where it defeated two powerhouse teams in their league. At last year's national competition, it placed twelfth out of 840 schools.
