Two-page spread with photos features story by Geoff Gehman honoring the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival at DeSales and the work of Lee Butz, festival photographer for 15 years. Gehman highlights the retrospective of Butz's photography that was on display in DeSales' University Center. According to Patrick Mulcahy, producing artistic director for the festival, Butz's attention to detail is magnificent. His pictures are subliminal advertisements that convince spectators about to see one play to return to see another. Butz, who also works for DeSales' ACT I productions, shoots only final dress rehearsals because of his busy schedule as a builder. Gehman writes that Butz's vocation controls his avocation. When he's behind schedule, he can rely on a Butz company perk, a chauffeured helicopter. Butz shared a recent and ultimate compliment, and testimonial to his work as a photographer. Evidently, there is a growing number of people who know him as a photographer rather than as a builder.
