Story by Tara J. Connolly focused on Day of In-Service for 150 staff members for Catholic Charities with keynote speaker, Father Thomas F. Dailey, OSFS, professor of theology and director of the Salesian Center for Faith and Culture at DeSales. In his talk, "What's so Catholic About Charity," Father Dailey explained that faith contributes to who people are and cited Pope Benedict XVI's encyclical "God Is Love." According to Father Dailey, the Pope's decision to examine love in his first encyclical was a brilliant choice. It signals "that all issues, debates, social controversies and political problems all of it comes down to love."
