Announcement that Phillip Yetter, a senior major in management and finance, has been named the 1006-2007 William G. McGowan Scholar at DeSales. McGowan Scholars are chosen on the basis of academic performance, grade point average, a submitted essay, and other selection criteria. Yetter, of Saylorsburg, is the second student in DeSales history to receive this honor. Yetter is a Dean's List student and on the Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation Academic Honor Roll. He also is an accomplished soccer player, who has helped facilitate and coach soccer learning sessions for children ages 3 to 5 with the Quakertown Soccer Club.
Announcement also appeared in the Morning Call on Friday, June 9.
