Story by Kelly Huth provides account of 18-year old Theresa Bassil, a resident of Easton and a member of the Class of 2009 at DeSales, who was vacationing in Lebanon when the conflict between Lebanon and Israel broke out. Theresa and her 14-year old sister, Jessica, were scheduled to return on Aug. 4, but are now among more than 8,000 Americans on the U.S. embassy's evacuation list. The girls were originally in Jounieh, Lebanon, outside of Beirut, but have since moved north to a Christian town in the mountains for safety.
