Story by Jennifer Troxell on continuing education, career development and training features the ACCESS program at DeSales and AIM, one of the newest options for adult learners. Deborah Booros, dean of lifelong learning at DeSales, is quoted in the article. According to Booros, AIM is for those students who come into school with solid experience. "We acknowledge that there are certain personal goals students have when they come here. It is expected that they have years of real world experience behind them," states Booros. Students must complete 40 courses for a bachelor's degree, but 25 of those can be transferred from another school. There are 16 courses required to complete a major. Advisors are on hand to work with students who self-design their major. Courses run year-round with six annual session offered in mornings, afternoons and evenings, and also online.
