Story (with photos) by Tracy Jordan provides account of sisters, Theresa and Jessica Bassil, from Easton, who escaped war-torn Lebanon. Theresa is a sophomore at DeSales. Jessica attends Notre Dame High School. The sisters, who are Lebanese, were vacationing with family in a village about an hour's drive north of Beirut, Lebanon, when the Israel-Hezbollah conflict erupted. They were to stay in Lebanon until Aug. 5, but when the fighting escalated, they were evacuated to Cyprus, then flown to London and finally to Newark, before returning to their Easton home on Tues., July 25.
