Story by Diana Morse on fall dance offerings in the Lehigh Valley includes mention of the DeSales University Screendance Festival, to be held Nov. 10 and 11, and comments by Timothy Cowart, director of the dance program at DeSales. Screendance is dance that has been written for film. According to Cowart, you get a vantage point of the dancers you wouldn't normally have from a single seat in a theater. Stylized films such as these are often used as backdrops to live dance performances. The festival will screen up to 10 films from New York's 2005 Dance on Film Festival.
