Live hour-long telecast of Candidates in the Plaza event hosted by DeSales, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of the Lehigh Valley and WFMZ-TV CH. 69 News. The program featured 18 political candidates, mostly Democrat and Republican, plus two from the Green Party, who were asked questions by news anchor Rob Vaughn. The questions focused on how they would promote the Lehigh Valley as a center of industry with high paying jobs and what they would do to sustain the already growing Hispanic business community. About 20 DeSales students provided assistance to candidates and guests at the event and during the live broadcast.
