Is the MBA Program offered in Romanian?
No. The program will be offered entirely in English; you must be fluent in English. You may be required to take the TOEFL test if your English appears to be weak.
How is this program different from other MBA programs currently in Romania?
This MBA program is the only program offering a concentration in Project Management. The faculty has deep business experience in many diverse areas. In this program, you will work with students in the U.S. and other parts of the world.

Who will guide me through the program?
As soon as you begin the application process, you will be assigned a program advisor who will guide you through the admission process as well as the program.
How many courses am I required to take?
The program consists of 7 Core courses, 4 Project Management concentration courses, and the final Capstone course, for a total of 12 courses.
What are the Courses?
The 7 core courses required are:
Concentration classes will consist of 4 Project Management classes.
The final class is CR510 - Policy and Strategy, Capstone class.
Upon completion of these courses with at least B average, you will have earned a Master of Business Administration and be awarded a diploma from DeSales University.
Is the GMAT required?
It depends. If you have strong academic credentials and at least two years of full-time experience, this requirement may be waived.
What TOEFL Score is required?
Internet-based: 104 or higher
Computer-based: 213 or higher
Paper-based: 550 or higher
How long will it take to complete the MBA?
It could take 18 to 48 months. It depends on how fast you wish to complete the program. Typically the MBA program is completed in three years, taking one class at a time. The time it takes to complete your program will vary depending on several factors including the number of classes per session and whether or not you elect to go through the entire program without taking time off between courses.

Will I meet US faculty members and US students?
Yes, you will meet U.S. faculty who will visit Bucharest for short periods. You will meet U.S. students via the internet.

When are classes held?
All classes will be held in the evenings on the campus of the Romanian American University or online with U.S. faculty.

Yes. DeSales University's MBA is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, as well as by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
What if I can only take a few courses each year?
DeSales University MBA program is flexible. You may take up to four years to complete your MBA degree.
Will my MBA in Project Management allow me to take the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification exam?

How do I get my text books?
Text books for all MBA classes can be purchased at the RAU campus book store. Price of the text books vary from class to class.

Fees can be paid directly to DeSales University with a credit card or at the MBA Program Coordinator's office at RAU. Tuition is paid in installments, one class at a time. Students must pay for each class at the time of registering for that class.

You will have an advisor at RAU desales@rau.ro. You can also contact the MBA office in the U.S. at anytime mba@desales.edu. As a student, you will have access to the entire DeSales University library collection available online. In order to access these materials go to www.desales.edu/library. The link to Electronic databases allows you to search journals, professional publications, and newspapers. It also allows you to search NetLibrary where you have access to 40,000 books. You will also have access to the student resources and to "Ask here PA" which will provide answers to any questions you have when performing a search 24 hours a day 7 days a week. |
